Following a disused rail line this out and back half is meant to be flat but the uphill first half put paid to that.
I’m happy with the time and effort.

Druridge Bay Beach Trail Half-Marathon – 25 JanuaryHM

A well organised event with a mix of trails around lakes in the country park, a 5k stretch along the beach and some tarmac lanes. High winds and sea spray/drizzle. Don’t know if my performance was enhanced or diminished by the Burns Night supper the evening before.
