The parkrun Grand Prix (PGP) is a new competition designed to:
• maintain runners’ motivation during the winter
• build on the success of the summer handicap
• raise awareness of the club in Coventry and the local area.
This will encourage runners to try out other parkruns and enjoy the benefits of parkrun tourism.
Importantly, runners will be required to wear Northbrook kit, which will serve as an opportunity to market the club at our local park runs.
The PGP will consist of 7 handicapped runs (not races) at seven of the local parkruns as follows on the first Saturday of every “winter” month.
1. October – Holbrooks
2. November – Bedworth
4. December – Leamington
4. January – Warwick
5. February – Brueton Park
6. March – Babbs Mill
7. April – Coventry
Rules
• 4 ‘events’ to count out of 7
• Position based on summer handicap
• Handicap based on best summer Summer Handicap time (or best 2025 5k before the start of the PGP)
• Men’s and Women’s Competitions
• Northbrook kit to be worn
Simply turn up in your Northbrook kit at the parkruns listed above. You will find the exact dates on the Events Calendar in the Club’s connectMyclub app, which may be subject to change to accommodate eventualities.
