D. Campbell (Welfare Officer)
Apologies – J. Evans (Women’s Captain), C. O’Keefe (Welfare Officer)
Treasurer’s Report – Tony Mackness circulated a report and discussed details of the accounts. There will be some further payments due for track bookings.
Deputies – Daisy Robbins said that we are still seeking a deputy for her Social Secretary role, while she is less available this year. Similarly, a deputy is needed for Rhys Robbins with social media as well.
Social Events – Daisy Robbins said that we could organise a breakfast trail run from Jaguar on 28th June, but some run leaders will need to attend.
Membership – Renewals are being collected and we have 260 paid up members so far.
Health & Safety/Welfare – There were no incidents in April. Debbie Campbell is due to organise her coaching training soon. Debbie will speak to Collette O’Keefe about any other health and safety topics.
Training – Rob Richardson said that recent training nights have been the same types of sessions for each level. This is a trial which has been positive for many members, as it provides structure and could even-out numbers in each training group. However, run leaders can choose to promote their own preferred sessions if they wish to do so.
Events – There have been many great performances recently including in marathons, half marathons and the Warks Road Race League. The Cotswolds Hilly 100 is the next team event in May. The Summer Handicap continues. Also, GBU is proposed for 24th June and Race the Train for 15th July.
10K Race – Tony Mackness showed the new race medals. Entries are on track with last year so far. The Thursday 10k training for beginners has started and will continue.
Runners of the Month – The winners are Rhian King (PB in London Marathon) and Rav Sangha (PB in Milan marathon).
