Tony will send out the criteria as soon as possible Tony is also setting up a club savings account with Hampshire Trust Bank.
Social Events – Daisy Robbins discussed the Awards Presentation to be held on 28th February at the Jaguar club. Daisy has sent out details about tickets. The committee agreed to provide shortlist guidelines for voted awards, but members can still vote for anyone they choose. There is an end of season cross country social get-together at the Rainbow Inn on 13th February. Daisy reminded the committee that a deputy will be needed for her role soon.
Membership – Renewals are now being collected.
Health & Safety/Training – There were no incidents in January. Debbie Campbell has volunteered to be a new Welfare Officer alongside Collette O’Keefe. The club is now compliant with EA rules as we have two Welfare Officers.
Training – Rob Richardson said that sessions on Wednesday nights recently have been the same types of sessions for each level. This is a trial that will be reviewed by the coaches and leaders. Rob will book in some track sessions for the year.
Events – The cross-country season was interrupted by cancellations of the third men’s and women’s league fixtures. These fixtures will not be rearranged, so the final league fixtures will be at Coombe Abbey for the women, and Gloucester for the men. The women are seeking promotion from Division 2 of the Midland Women’s Cross-Country League. The men are battling to stay in Division 2 of the Birmingham League. The Midland Cross-Country was held recently and the National Cross-Country is approaching soon.
Runners of the Month – The winners are Julie Cozens (comeback to running and commitment to cross country team) and Brian Plumb (cross country performances and supplying hot tea and coffee at races).
