NORTHBROOK ATHLETIC CLUB COMMITTEE MEETINGS

Treasurer Report – Tony Mackness discussed details of the accounts. An urgent payment was made to increase the email server storage size.
Social Events – No events planned, but Daisy Robbins said that Rhys Robbins is doing a great job publicising the club on social media like Instagram and Tik-Tok with over 6000 video views. Facebook has a 10k page and a Northbrook page.
Membership – So far, we have around 240 renewals since the AGM.
Health and Safety – No issues in March. The committee will invite the club Welfare Officers to attend committee meetings if they wish to do so.
Training – The ‘all-club’ training session at Coundon Park was a success, except that some people didn’t see the communications about it. Rob Richardson suggested setting up a working group to discuss club training communications. Rob also wanted to discuss Winter safety plans before the end of the Summer.
Events – The Cotswolds Hilly 100 relay is taking place this month. Lots of people are also participating in the Sphinx 5 miles in June, so the Summer handicap has moved to a week later than usual.
10km race – Entries are coming in fast, and have increased from this time last year. The 10km improvers group sessions are well attended and encourage new runners to participate.
Runners of the Month – The winners are Becci Lewis (50km ultramarathon) and Cory Payne (50 miles ultramarathon).
AOB
- EA Club Standards – the club now meets all 7 EA standards
- Good, Bad and Ugly event (GBU) – date agreed 18th June
- Race the Train event – date agreed 16th July
- Cross-Country – we are likely to co-host a league event at Coombe Abbey for men and women during the next season
- Website – discussion of access to backups of data required if Roger is unavailable
- CWR Radio – volunteers needed to speak about club before the 10k race
Next Meeting – Scheduled for Tuesday 3rd May June by video conference.
