Review Previous Minutes/Matters Arising
Welcome to Terry, our new Club President.
No other matters arising.

Social Events
Nothing to report.

Health and Safety – Catherine Dear
Have we got a Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)? – No
Do we have a risk assessment for training nights? – No, Catherine to investigate if we can use a generic one for all sessions
Do we have a risk assessment for the Northbrook 10K – yes but needs updating, this is on Terry’s to do list.
Do we have an incident form – Catherine previously created but not known to have been used recently. There is a 10K Incident form which Terry will send to Catherine and the committee members.
Need to add Health and Safety to the Committee agenda.
Need to brief the leaders on the above once available.

Treasurers Report
The latest accounts were shared with the committee – nothing major to report.

Membership Secretary Report
Currently there are 193 members.
172 renewals
5 second claim renewals
12 new members
6 non-renewals
25 members who haven’t renewed yet.
Invoice raised for club England Athletics affiliation – £195. Following on from this, invoices will be raised for individual members.

Coaching Co-ordinator Report
Ben Isaac has completed his LiRF training and will lead his first session later this month.
Paul Robbins is currently renewing his LiRF.
Could still do with more Level 1 / 2 leaders as we are reliant on a small number of individuals.
Terry advised that he is happy take the LiRF qualification to help out with level 1.

Running Events – Team Captains’ Update
Road relays at Sutton Park at the weekend, we fielded one men’s team and two women’s teams. It was hard to get enough runners to fulfil the numbers required for the teams – other clubs reported similar problems.
Northbrook Men were the leading team in the Centurion Grand Prix series and the Women were second.
The Hilly Hundred is on 21st May, currently have 4 teams but hoping to be given a 5th team, entries and payment are due in the near future.

Summer Handicap
First edition is tomorrow (5th April).
Roger has created new finish tokens and we will use the parkrun virtual volunteer app for timing.
Guest runners – website says these are not invited this year.
If there are no issues with processing the results for April then we will open up to guests from May onwards.
Tim to offer to help Vinnie tomorrow to try and speed up the processing of the results.

Northbrook 10K
The date for the 2023 race is Sunday 9th July, entries are now open.
Suggest asking Sara for a written update for next committee – Bob to email Sara.
Consider printing flyers for use at Sphinx Summer 5 to promote.

10K Improvers
10K improvers leaflets were handed out at Bedworth and Coventry parkruns – good Northbrook presence at both.
Two from Bedworth and 15 from Coventry (previous years have attracted 40+) have signed up for the Northbrook improvers course.

Runners of the Month
Men: Alan Smith – recent PBs and other excellent results
Women: Claudie Combelas – excellent time at Rome marathon

AOB
Volunteer recognition – Spencer suggested creating a league along the lines of the Race League
Track sessions – suggest merging levels as level 2 numbers last week were low.
Social media presence, not possible to make the private Northbrook group public.
Agreed to replace the existing private members Facebook group with a public group with moderators. Members will need to be advised of this change.
England Athletics Club Standards – Tim highlighted several areas which we need to address. More work is required to address some of these.
Terry has some thoughts regarding inclusivity and diversity as well as risk avoidance.

Meeting closed at 21:00

Next Meeting: Tuesday May 2nd at 19:30.
