NORTHBROOK ATHLETIC CLUB COMMITTEE MEETINGS

- Apologies – R. Adams (Chairman)
- Matters arising from previous minutes – none.
- Treasurer’s Report – Tony Mackness discussed the accounts that he sent out before the meeting.
- Events – There is a lot of interest in the Hilly 100, but we are only allowed to enter 5 teams. Teams will be entered for the Beer relays. The Warwickshire Road Race League began at Easter and continues through the Summer.
- Social Events – Jaguar function room was booked to present awards to members who missed the original awards event. Sarah Duffy will circulate a voting poll to see if there is interest in another Family Fun Day at Jaguar in the Summer.
- Membership – 189 members have renewed so far.
- 10k Improver Course – Rob Cox said coaching began on Thursday 28th April in Allesley Park. About 40 people attended.
- 10k race – The entries are now open for the race. There were lots of volunteers helping with Parkrun publicity at Coventry and Bedworth for the 10k race
- Runners of the Month – April 2022 – Men: Craig Holmes (two sub 1.30 half marathons), Women: Natasha White (club record for marathon – first women to break 3 hours).
- Any other business:
- Summer Handicap – first race was well attended. Second race is on 4th May. Members need to pre-enter.
- Good, Bad, Ugly – proposed date is Wednesday 22nd June. Start will be at top of Browns Lane. Tim Hughes offered to compile teams. Mark Baker will get prizes.
- Race the Train – Hampton-in-Arden to Tile Hill station. Proposed date is Wednesday 20th July
- Sphinx 5 miles – will be a club night in Memorial Park on 8th June.
- Kit – Club t-shirts are in stock with Damian Pharoah. The club vests are with Tim Hughes.
- Next Meeting – Tuesday 7 June 2022 at 7.30pm to be held by video conference.
