Apologies – M. Baker (Club Secretary), T. Hughes (Membership Secretary), D. Robbins (Social Secretary), C. O’Keefe (Welfare Officer)
Treasurer Report – Tony provided us with a breakdown of the financial position. £12k is now held in a savings account with Hampshire Trust Bank. Tony will provide us with a breakdown in connection with the Awards Evening.
Social Events – Whilst we recognised that the Awards Evening was very well organised, we were slightly disappointed with the attendance. Rob is going to send out a survey to the membership to find out what they want to do in the future.
10k Update – Cliff advised us that leaflets drops will take place at local Parkruns over the next few weeks. Ideas would be appreciated to help us to achieve a more integrated participation in the race.
Health & Safety/Welfare – Collette had informed us that she had invited Sam Ryan to speak at a local policing event about violence against women. This was very well received.
Training – Rob informed us that he will continue with the practice of all of the training groups doing the same sessions on Wednesday evenings.
Spencer asked for another leader to help out with his Monday training group, due to the increased numbers involved.
Rob will hold a Leaders’ meeting in the near future.
There were no specific training incidents, but Bob is going to speak with JR to make sure that he is happy with his involvement in the sessions.
Captains’ Reports – We have 3 women’s teams entered for the Midland relays. Spencer is trying to recruit more men for this event.
2 teams have been entered for the ‘Endure relays’.
We have currently been allowed to field 4 teams in the Hilly 100 relay – Spencer is trying to increase this to 6.
Membership – 120 members still have not renewed. Tim will deal with this on his return to the UK.
Summer Handicap – All of the details are now on the Club website. Members will be urged to look at this, and then register, in the Weekly Speech next week.
Runners of the Month – The winners are Abi Williams and Kyle Turner.
AOB

  1. Gazebo bags – new gazebo bags have now arrived. (Spencer informed us that we will need to keep an eye on what is going on with our Lockup at the Rainbow Inn)
  2. connectMyClub emails – Roger has identified a problem with Microsoft-based e-mail addresses that are used by senders on CMC. He has suggested that those members involved set up a webmail account so that they are able to see any replies that have been received. (At present this only affects Daisy and Bob).

Next Meeting – Scheduled for Tuesday 7 April, online.
