R. Adams (Chairman)
M Baker (Club Secretary)
T. Hughes (Membership Secretary)
D. Robbins (Social Secretary)
S. Davies (Men’s Captain)

Apologies – A. Mackness (Treasurer)
Treasurer Report – Tony Mackness sent details of the accounts.
Social Events – Daisy Robbins organised a Breakfast Social Run which was well supported with The Rainbow as the destination point for breakfast on a Sunday morning. A future quiz event may be planned.
Membership – So far, we have around 260 renewals and new memberships since the AGM.
Health and Safety – No issues in June. The committee has invited the club Welfare Officers to attend committee meetings and they will join us next month.
Training – Rob Richardson said that some training sessions had been cancelled due to the extremely hot weather. Runners have been encouraged to drink more fluids if they are training in these conditions.
Events – The Sphinx 1 mile relays will take place soon. The Warks Road Race League is continuing.
10km race – Entries are coming in fast, and the race could sell out soon. Preparations are going well, and volunteers will help on the day. The 10km improvers group sessions are being well attended.
Cross Country Leagues – Great News! Northbrook Mens team have been promoted to Division 2 of the Birmingham Cross-Country League. Spencer Davies has been pushing for this amazing news since spotting errors in the league results several months ago. It has taken a long time, but persistence paid off! While this fantastic, it means that Northbrook men will no longer be running in the final Men’s Division 3 race next season at Coombe Abbey. The Women’s team are still running at Coombe Abbey as part of the Midland Cross-Country league. Northbrook had planned to co-host the Coombe Abbey races with Sphinx. This is now being reviewed to see if there are enough people available to host the events.
Good, Bad and Ugly event (GBU) – This was a great well organised event. Thanks to Tim Hughes. However, an issue was reported to the club which caused concern. Bob Adams has replied and apologised on behalf of the club. Members need to be responsible and avoid unwanted behaviour during club events.
Runners of the Month – The winners are Tracey Williams (great distance running) and Richard Evans (many great races).
AOB

  1. a. Womens Safety Group – there has been great discussion and a great survey response to this topic.
  2. Race the Train event – date agreed 16th July
  3. connectMyClub event – Friday 25th July including track and field events
  4. Kit – A new kit order is needed which can include run-leader t-shirts
  5. Club Events Planning – there was a request to leave gaps between consecutive club events, in case new members were being missed at Jaguar, by thinking that it was a normal training night on Wednesdays

Next Meeting – Scheduled for Tuesday 5th August by video conference.
