  5. Health and Safety Incidents – None reported. However, there was a minor fall at the club race the train event.
  6. Risks and Incident Forms – Rob Cox has created Risk Assessments for Road, Off-Road and Track training sessions, these were shared with Catherine Dear and the committee prior to the meeting. Terry Moynihan has offered to review these by 18th August. Roger Ladbury is creating an online Incident Report which will also keep a record of all reported incidents.
  7. 10k race – The event was again an enormous success. Thanks to all the organisers and helpers. Tony Mackness said there were over 500 entries. The sub-committee will meet up soon to review the event in detail, and discuss charitable donations from funds that were raised.
  8. Events – The Warwickshire Road Race League continues. The Northbrook 10km, Race the Train, Sphinx Mile relays and Wacky Races were all successes. Next club events are Sutton Park relays.
  9. Social Events – No further updates.
  10. Club Mailing Lists – It was agreed that Roger Ladbury has committee permission to proceed with ‘Connect My Club’ as the trial has completed
  11. Summer Handicap – Next event on 2nd August 2023. Barcodes are speeding up results.

  13. Any other business:
    1. Womens Cross Country League Division 2 – from Sally Eason – no venues have been found for some fixtures.
    2. Men’s Birmingham Cross Country League Division 3 – only 2 fixtures are confirmed. Terry Moynihan said he would investigate the feasibility of us finding a venue with minimum required facilities (toilets). We could collaborate with another club.
    3. London Marathon Club Places 2024 – We should receive 2 club places around the end of November, as we have over 190 members.
    4. Rainbow Lockup – It was agreed that we need to change the lock codes and let the owner know, as it appears that others can access the lockup without our knowledge.
    5. Club Training Sessions – there was a discussion of issues if people keep training but not paying subscriptions after a trial period.
    6. Coventry Half Marathon – the event is returning on 29th October with a new route and new organisers. Helpers at the previous event were promised free entries, but a new arrangement means helpers at the new event will get a free entry link now to another race such as Sheffield or Leeds half marathon.
  14. Next Meeting – Tuesday 29 August 2023 at 7.30pm to be held by video conference (early due to holiday clashes).
