NORTHBROOK ATHLETIC CLUB COMMITTEE MEETINGS

Treasurer Report – Tony informed us that all of the medals have been purchased for the 10k race. Sponsorship money has been received from Bruker – further monies awaited.
Social Events – Daisy has sent out Facebook posts and e-mails advising members about social gatherings during the summer. She has also done a social media promo about the Northbrook 10k race. There will be a pre-breakfast run of either 5k or 10k on 22nd June that will finish at the Rainbow Inn.
Training – Rob advised us that there have been no health and safety incidents. Some members have volunteered to help out with the forthcoming winter training . We need volunteers to help out with communication – Rob will sent out a further request. 3 members have volunteered to undertake the LIRF training course. Rob is going to meet with the Monday training leaders to ensure that members of all abilities can be accommodated..
Events – The Hilly 100 relay was a great day out for the Club – a vote of thanks was given to Spencer for the tremendous job he did with the logistics. We have 87 members entered for the Sphinx Summer 5 race. Many of them are also running the Two Castles Race next Sunday.
10km race – A total of 372 entries have been received so far, which is 64% up on previous years. We are waiting sponsorship monies from Co-Op and Deeley. Terry is looking for a few more volunteers to help out. The maximum capacity for the race is 750. The deadline date for entries is 9th July (7.00pm). A few members are appearing on CWR radio next week to promote the race. The maximum capacity for the Junior Race is 150.
G.B.U. & R.T.T. – Tim is organising the GBU relay on 18th June. Bob will speak to Roger and the local farmer about the R.T.T. on 16th July.
Runners of the Month – Mark will send out the list of nominations when he returns home later in the week. We can then use the WhatsApp group to determine the winners.

  1. Rob will ensure that the money we owe for the track sessions is fully paid
  2. The website is now fully updated to inform members about the training sessions
  3. Damian will order some more T-shirts for our new members. We will also inform members that Damian is the person to speak to about Club kit.
