83 children ranging in age from 4 to 14 took part in the children’s run that preceded the main event. Almost without exception they ignored the starter’s advice to set off gently and instead took off at speed from the word Go up Washbrook Lane.

First to complete the 2km out and back course was Josh D from Solihull & Smallheath. The first girl home was Annabelle Reid from Kenilworth Tri Juniors.
