A timely reminder to members about the Club’s Equilibrium Cup competition that runs in the background throughout the year.
A 4-leg virtual relay suitable for all abilities staged over the last 20 days of March, the challenge being to see how far each team can run in 40 minutes.
The first challenge for March takes its inspiration from a well-known event that is usually staged around this time of year and involves 7 hills in 7 miles.
This month we keep the distance theme going and also introduce a bit of fun with a play on numbers and dates.
January is typically a Run Every Day month so here’s your first challenge for 2021, not a maths challenge but an individual distance target to meet.
You can’t compete in a race and you can’t train with a group but that need not stop continuing to join in the Northbrook virtual racing season and adding soem points to the Virtual Series table
A festive virtual event, again with a bit of a twist. 12 activities designed to attract a wide participation with a paced challenge and a social/fun challenge for each activity.
Another virtual knockout competition, similar to our parkrun cup, but run over 5 miles and with a built-in gradient equalising factor. Competition started 5 October, two weeks until the cut for Round 1.
A 5k knockout competition with a twist, with pairs generated automatically by the Northbrook random bingo machine on a Facebook live draw.
A three-person 5k virtual relay comprising teams made up of runners with differing abilities staged over three days with each team member running on a day different from the other team members.
The target is to run 24,901 miles in 80 days.
A charity virtual event involving Northbrook AC and four other local clubs to raise funds for the UHCW Charity.
