Matters
From Last Meeting –
a) YHA – Rob Barry is arranging another
training weekend at Dimmingsdale YH from

Treasurers Report – Paul Stead has some funds which
need to be banked.
5.
Mens / Ladies Captain's Report – The ladies team were 38th
in the National relays at Sutton Park. Thanks to the Andrew family for their
support. There were many good results at the Paris, London and Stratford
Marathons. Becky Smith recorded excellent PB’s in recent half marathons. Mark
Baker has been selected to represent Wales in the Anglo Celtic Plate 100
Kilometre race in Cardiff on 18/5/2008. Howard Andersen and Bob Adams are
organising teams for the Cotswold Hilly 100 relay. The Coventry marathon series
is continuing over the next week.
6.
Social Secretary Report – A post marathon meal is arranged
for 2/5/2008. The ‘Northbrook Games’
will be held at Kirby Corner track on Wednesday 18/6/2008. A possible club 30th
Anniversary celebration could be held in November at the Royal Court Hotel.

Other Business–
a)
Runner
of Month – April 2008: Clive Horton (improved to run 3:15 in the London
Marathon)
b)
10Km
race – Tony French discussed progress. More marshals are needed. The race
includes the ‘inter-counties’ championships.
c)
Resignations
– Alex Marshall and Loretto Denley have decided to resign from the club, and
have requested clearance to join another club. This will not be opposed by us,
but we hope that they consider returning to Northbrook in the future. Both Alex
and Loretto have contributed a lot to Northbrook, and the committee thanks them
for their efforts.
d)
Kit
– Alix Critchley has to collect some kit samples. ‘Northbrook’ name is not
clear on the vests.
e)
Birmingham
League AGM – Tony French attended. We will host a race on 14/2/09. Other races
are Senneleys (25/10/08), Leamington (6/12/2008), Sphinx (17/1/2009). We can
also help with the Midland 7’s on 22/11/2008 if required. Fees for league are
£50, rising to £65 next year.

Wednesday
Training – there are now 4 organised training groups at different levels.
g)
Public
Liability Insurance – We are investigating quotes for this cover.
h)
Summer
Handicap – The first race was well supported. The next race is on 7/5/2008.
