NORTHBROOK ATHLETIC CLUB COMMITTEE MEETING

  1. Apologies – A. Mackness (Treasurer)
  2. Matters Arising – none.
  3. Treasurer's Report – Tony Mackness sent details of the accounts.
  4. Social Secretary Report – There were drinks in City Arms, Earlsdon on 30th September. The Presentation Night is booked at the Village Hotel near Hearsall Common for Saturday 28th January 2017. Tickets are £20. There will be a fun pre-Christmas club night.
  5. Mens/Ladies Captain's Report – Many excellent results are on the club website. The WRRL ended with the Rugby 10 miles and there was some club success. The Sutton Park relays were a success as well. The XC will start soon with the Midland XC relays. The Birmingham XC League and Midlands Ladies League begin at Leamington on 12th November. The XC voting sheets from Spencer were very useful.
  6. 10Km race – Many thanks to all of the 10Km sub-committee for all their work through the year. Next years race is on Sunday 9th July 2017. Race start will be in Browns Lane. Roger Ladbury stated that the 10Km sub-committee needed some extra help to continue the race in future, as there is a lot to organise. Sangeeta will now join the sub-committee.
  7. Club kit – 50 club t-shirts, with the sunburst design are ordered. Damian Pharoah will order club skorts (skirt shorts).
  8. Jaguar Club – A sub-group of the club are continuing discussions with Jaguar about our membership role and access to facilities and the 10K race.
  9. Runner of the Month – September 2016 winners – Men: Terry Moynihan– Kenilworth Half Marathon and arranged Sutton Relays. Ladies: Katy Davies – South Cheshire 20, Yorkshire Marathon.
  10. Any other business –
    1. a. Christmas Cracker race – Tony Mackness is looking at dates and venues.
    2. Myton – Tony French arranged photo shoot. Publicity is needed.
    3. Jaguar Fees – Payments are now due and amounts are the same as last year.
    4. London Marathon Club Places – Mark Baker can apply from 24th October.
    5. WRRL – email addresses requested from 10Km, will not be sent. Meeting and AGM is on 7th November.
    6. Timekeepers – needed for Ladies XC races g. Coundon Park – We are co-hosting the men's league fixture in February 2017.
    7. Traffic Management Course – available for race organisers.
  11. Next Meeting – Monday 14th November 2016 at 8pm at Bob Adams' residence.
