NORTHBROOK ATHLETIC CLUB COMMITTEE MEETING

held on 11th June 2012

  2. Matters From Last Meeting –
    1. Tent - not yet nothing suitable at GO Outdoors, will keep looking.
    2. Cheque Signatory - yes Bob has cheque book
    3. Training nights at Coundon Court - Clive to say dates and John to say what.
    4. Olympics 20th June to publicise on the web and Facebook
    5. Race the Train 18 July.
    6. Good Bad & Ugly run 4 August. Although discussion on this as Mark, Bob and a few others won't be there due to Olympics, and Mark is only one who knows well how to handicap and choose teams as he has started doing this.
    7. Club Kit – some needs to go back to printers as substandard - Alix/John to action.

  4. Treasurer's Report – None given, but action needed for kit monies to be collected.
  5. Mens/Ladies Captain's Report – Nobby fastest at Kingswinford 10k, notable Chris Jones for Wirall 10k, Lee Hill/Amanda Deavy PB's at Lichfield 10k, Silverstone 10k Dave Cooper/Mark Baker PB's, the latter notable at 38.12. East Midlands Grand Prix Dave Cooper.
  6. 10k race – going well, Bob to ring Tony re leaflets Wednesday.
  7. Social Secretary Report – Corinna talked about a big push to promote by club members vis a vis Park Run/Regency/5 mile Easter Sunday.
  8. Hilly 100 went well.
  9. Social – Cosmo went well. Planned Comedy Night at The Village Hotel for the 29/06. £12 incl a curry. Further details to follow. Midsummer 5 then after at City Arms.
  10. Members paid up well in excess of 100 now. E-mail now gone out at end of April re last date for renewal being 30 April and full spreadsheet to be circulated to Committee especially P. Stead for the Champs.
  11. Runner of the Month – May 2012: Mark Baker.
  12. Any Other Business –
    1. To get on with assessing the kit.
