What has changed since last year?
Our race has been designated as the
Fun Run
We are, again, incorporating a Children's 2km Fun Run. This is to keep the
event family based by including a run for children less than 15 years of age. This will start at 10am.. The route starts in

HQ, but you are asked to arrive in good time before the 10.45am start.

What are the race
conditions/rules?
1. The Race will be
run under the
2. Entries will be
accepted on the day (up to 9.30 am children’s run, 10.30 am 10km race)
providing the race limit of 600 has not been exceeded.
3. You must be 15
years or over to compete in the 10km Road Race on Race day.
4. Fun run -All
children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult.
5. The closure date
for the Postal entries is the Saturday 24 May 2008, those received after will
be ready for collection on the day of the race.

Has the course been officially measured
Yes on Sunday 09/05/2004. The certificate number is MC/08/037. The road has
white lines to indicate the km points. The Start height is 110m above sea
level. The highest point is 164m. The
lowest point and finish is 100m above sea level.
Where is the Race HQ?
The race HQ is Coventry Hill Hotel, Rye Hill, Allesley. The distance
to the start is about 450m.

The Race HQ is accessible from 2 directions. The race HQ is 3 minutes off
the A45. Assuming you are reading this on line then use the following link to

local residents affected?
All the residents on route will receive a letter Approx 2 weeks before the race
explaining how they may be affected.
How are users of the

The changing facilities are at the hotel.

The toilets are located in the hotel.
The start is in a residential area so competitors must ensure they are
comfortable before leaving the Race HQ

Describe the course?
The course is undulating and very scenic. Overall the finish is at a
lower level than the start. The last 3 km will be fast. The
route should be traffic free. The race is based around the Allesley to Corley
area in
Where are the water stations?
These will be located just after 3 km (
How does the rolling road
closure work?
Just before the runners enter a road it will be closed. The road will
remain closed until the last runner has passed.
First aid will be provided by MedEvent.
However you have a duty of care to yourself to ensure that you are medically
fit to undertake this event. Remember it
is in the middle of Summer and likely to be very warm

categories and prizes?
The exact prizes will be worked out nearer the time of the race and will be
based on what sponsorship we achieve and the number of entries in each
category.

When and where are the
presentations?
The presentations will be in the bar after the race at approx 12.30
Will there be refreshments
after the race?
Yes the bar will open and there will be food available. Also the race video
will be shown.
When will the results be
available and how do I get a copy?
The results will be available on line Sunday Evening. Additionally copies can
be sent out by paying £1.

photographer?
