The 10k Race organising committee each year invite nominations from the membership for a charity to receive a major donation from the proceeds of the race.

We are able to make a sizeable donation each year thanks both to the generosity of our sponsors and to the assistance given by Club members, families and friends in supporting and publicising the event.

In 2010, our chosen major charity was Macmillan Cancer Care, to whom we gave £1,000.

We also gave £200 to Great Ormond St Hospital on behalf of Townfields Saddlery, who let us use their field in Butt Lane for car parking, and we gave £300 to the Allesley Scout Hut Appeal as the scouts gave us free use of their Scout Hut in Washbrook Lane and manned the drinks stations.
